In The Community

Ice The Beef youth, mentors, and staff are heavily involved in their communities and organize around promoting change. Our team is actively pursuing  social justice work as well as working together to change policies that will truly help disadvantaged and oppressed communities. Working together to break down walls while combating gun violence, systemic racism, and oppressive actions against disfranchised communities. Our team organizes together to implement change through rallies, raising awareness of these issues, doing backpack and school supplies drives, food banks, fundraisers, and other community events. 
The work we do must be an ongoing and will take a lifetime. Our hope is to inspire others to not be afraid to get into "good trouble" and do the work that is essential for systematic level changes to happen.

The great and late John Lewis said:

"Do not get lost in a sea of despair. Be hopeful, be optimistic. Our struggle is not the struggle of a day, a week, a month, or a year, it is the struggle of a lifetime. Never, ever be afraid to make some noise and get in good trouble, necessary trouble."
